I love wine country

I recently saw a CD by the Putumayo people called Music From the Wine Lands. I thought it interesting to clump countries together because they all make wine. But there are a lot of things in common. Any good wine has to be grown between 20 and 40 degrees longitudinally in both hemispheres. That's why you are not going to grow a great wine in England or Tahiti (Side note global warming experts do think in a few hundred years the Northern Hemispheres wine regions will all move North. California will be too hot, and Northern Canada may be the new wine country). But what else. Good food? Happy people? All I know is my family and I have never visited a wine country we didn't love and we all look forward to a yard of grapes someday.

Here's the list of songs on that CD. Wine originated in Persia and two countries making a comeback in the wine world are Croatia and Georgia.
Maybe for Part 2.
